  • Regular Cleaning: Clean the saw after each use by removing sawdust and debris from the table, fence, and surrounding areas. Use a soft brush, compressed air, or a vacuum to clear out sawdust, especially around the sliding mechanism and saw blade area.

  • Inspect and Maintain the Blade: Regularly check the blade for wear or damage. Ensure the teeth are sharp and free of any build-up that could affect cutting performance. If necessary, have the blade professionally sharpened or replace it when it becomes dull or damaged.

  • Lubricate the Sliding Mechanism: The sliding table and guide rails should be lubricated periodically to ensure smooth movement. Apply a light coat of lubricant to the rails, ensuring that it does not interfere with the cutting process. Regular lubrication reduces friction and helps prevent wear on the table.

  • Check Blade Alignment: Periodically verify that the blade is correctly aligned with the fence and the table to ensure precise cuts. Misalignment can cause inaccurate cuts and increase wear on the saw. Adjust the blade and fence as needed.

  • Inspect the Blade Guards and Covers: Ensure that the blade covers, both for 90° and 45° cuts, are properly positioned and functioning. The covers should protect the blade during operation and retract smoothly when cutting. Clean and inspect them for any damage or obstruction.

  • Monitor Motor and Electrical Components: Regularly inspect the motor and electrical components for signs of wear or overheating. Ensure all wiring is secure and that the power supply is stable. Check for any unusual noise or vibration during operation, as this could indicate an issue with the motor or other electrical components.

  • Tighten Fasteners: Check the saw for loose fasteners, nuts, and bolts that could have come loose due to vibration during use. Tighten any that are found to ensure the stability of the machine and prevent unnecessary wear.

  • Check the Fence and Miter Guide: Inspect the fence for straightness and ensure that it is locked securely in place. A misaligned fence can cause inaccurate cuts. Ensure that the miter guide is functioning smoothly and is properly calibrated for angled cuts.

  • Monitor Blade Height Adjustment: Regularly check and adjust the blade height to ensure it is properly set for the thickness of the material being cut. Accurate blade height ensures smoother cuts and reduces unnecessary strain on the motor.

  • Inspect Dust Collection System: If your machine is connected to a dust collection system, make sure the hoses and dust ports are clear of blockages. Clean or replace any parts of the dust collection system that are damaged or clogged.

  • Check the Crosscut and Rip Cutting Functionality: Verify that the saw can perform both crosscut and rip cuts accurately. Make any necessary adjustments to the table or fence to maintain accuracy in cuts for both types of operations.

  • Perform Regular Safety Checks: Always ensure that safety features such as emergency stops, blade guards, and electrical cutoffs are functional. Regularly check these safety mechanisms to ensure they are not obstructed or malfunctioning.

  • Annual Servicing: Schedule an annual service with a professional technician to inspect the motor, blade, electrical components, and other parts of the saw. Regular professional maintenance can extend the life of the machine and ensure optimal performance.
