ACiQ 18,000 BTU Ceiling Cassette Mini-Split Air Handler
The ACiQ-18CC-HH-MB ceiling cassette air handler allows for a discreet and centralized air distribution option. Its installation in the ceiling ensures the most subtle appearance, with only the grille visible while providing high-efficiency heating and cooling. This unit comes with a hand-held remote control for easy operation.
Installation Considerations
Ceiling Cassettes are installed flush to the ceiling, requiring removal of ceiling material to create a cavity for the unit. These units can fit between 24 on-center joists, but modifications may need to be made to accommodate 16 on-center joists. In addition, they come equipped with onboard pumps to lift and drain the condensation produced during cooling, with a condensation lift capacity of up to 14 feet. A PVC drain system must be constructed to safely route the condensation to a designated wastewater location. The refrigerant and wiring connections are identical to those of wall mounted units.
